The Valentine Abaya!
A fitted black abaya in princess cut.
Form fitting π
The abaya is fastened with a long zipper. Lined with red silk, the sleeves applique with red silk, symbolizing hell fire, and a red applique heart on the front. (you can do the applique on the back instead) The heart and sleeves are bordered with gold braid.
Will you take my order please…pretty please?????
I like it!
Its royal! Its beautiful!!
Funky, very medieval π
That’s very elegant. It also has sort of a sword&sorcery vibe about it, like it’s the gown of the elegant sorceress of love and generosity.
I’ll be ordering three please- Royal blue with Red; Royal Purple with Red and the Royal Black with Red- courtesy of my very own Black Prince…tally up!
They in one disze fits all; or do I have to measure up? LOL
π
American Bedu, I think wearing this, might be even more shocking then a labcoat!
I’m worried about your recently developing streak of anarchism.
But given your present super-elegant shape, I think this would be gorgeous on you π
Lynn, thank you π
Specs, another un-modest anarchist…. or subversive…
Rhonda, π actually I like abaya’s, and that you can use a lot of imagination designing them! But then I would wear it as a light summercoat, but not in like 30” Celcius or up.
INAL, it’s fitted! So, yes, you’d have to send exact measurements! π
Perfect name for your “haute couture boite”, and iconic Fitnah Abaya. I can see myself at an evening soiree in one! π
100% haraam money back guarantee! π
Very beautiful. I can be a millionaire if I sell this design to my students π
Chiara, start saving up! FitnaFashion exclusive abayas are vΓ©ry expensive! π
Achelois, Your students… hmm, I suppose I could bling it up… π
It is wow. Very unique. Are we going to get further pieces from FitnahFashion? They look very promising =]
It’s so beautiful and just in time for Valentine’s Day! I love the name of your fashion label too – FitnaFashion. You are so talented, Aafke!
i love the abaya, it is so tongue-in-cheek and when can we start ordering
Achelois, sorry no money back Γ©ver from FitnahFashion, but guaranteed to have something haraam incorporated, unless a special custom job
Outcastrebelchick, there probably will be more , depends what my mind is busy with… But I still hope to go and visit Bedy, and then I will need an abaya, and naturally I will make it as haraam as possible!
Susie, I think I’m going to call my design business something a bit less wicked !
Fatima, Have you saved up enough? π For a fitted abaya you really should pop over for a fitting! π
Clink, clink, clink–the sound of $2 Canadian coins (toonies) dropping into the piggy bank! π
Fantastic!
If you make it I will buy it.
And l love the name Fitnah Fashion – very catchy!
Aafke…given I am home on sick leave this would be a great time for you to come visit…and you can get tours of the various abaya fashion houses to get further ideas for Fitnah Fashions!! So…..the invitation has been extended! and you can meet the infamous Saudi truffle lady too whose truffles are incredible! Thank YOU and you-know-who!!!
Very elegant and beautiful! “Fitnahfashion”, I like the name!
Nice, except that marketing it or wearing it in Saudi Arabia could result in being executed. It could certainly get all involved arrested by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.
Love your drawings! That’s a super cool idea for an abaya! Happy Valentine’s day Aafke!
Haleem, I’m sure you will look lovely in it.
Bedu, is that a real invitation? Shall I get a ticket???
Truffles were good? All you-know-who’s idea!
Lat, the name was inspired by Spec comment
Tee, π And the same to you!!!!
Throwing in for “FitnahFashion” too … it’s a catchy name, saucy, daring, marketable .. you can open up here between Betsey Johnson and Juicy Couture. π
Susan, ok, FitnahFashion it is!
That will at least assure the right kind of customers! π
Woww That is very stylish
prachtig !
Nisma, welcome to my blog π
I have decided I’m going to make this one for myself next summer! π
